Jim's camera had been broken, hence the lack of updates. Now that things are looking better at the barn, we should be back on track!
All the regulars have been at the barn, braving the weather. In some big, exciting news, Kassi is finished with school! No more commuting from Corvallis or going to class; Kassi will be at the barn full time! Hooray! Congrats, Kassi!
All the horses are starting to migrate towards the big field. Pretty soon, most of the horses will be out of the mud and into the pasture (except for some who are not allowed the spring greenery).
For the last few months, Spendy has been having a tough time with abscesses. She would get better, then get worse, then get better again. She's been indoors in a dry stall for the last few weeks, and Chuck was able to get some good work done on her hooves last week. We hope she's feeling better soon!
Lyric and Marquis have been battling abscesses as well, so they have been indoors for rest and recovery. Two of the draft mares are getting very close to their foaling dates--we're all getting quite anxious to see these new babies!
On March 29th, the Explorers came out again to help groom horses. Here are some pictures of their wet and muddy day:

Thanks to the Explorers! We love your visits!
This last March was the rainiest on record...here's hoping for a beautiful, dry, warm spring!
More to come!
